I absolutely love Uptown Liz and Ramona! Working for Uptown was the best learning experience I had in college. After the internship, I felt more confident in my writing ability, my professionalism, and my skills as a marketer. Ramona is a wonderful teacher and really gave me the freedom to pursue my passions, and the direction to be successful. I learned valuable skills in social networking, public relations, marketing, and the non-profit sector. The internship was a valuable addition to my education, and the experience helped me earn a full time position after graduation. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. - Bethany Bowen, Texas A&M University

Working for Uptown Liz, taught me more than just the ins and outs of marketing and writing. Working for Uptown Liz inspired me to find a career that I was truly passionate about and to strive to find a job where I could do something that I loved and make a difference. I left the internship with the writing skills to land myself a communication job and with the understanding of how to make an online company run. I enjoyed the responsibility Ramona gave me throughout the internship, knowing that what I was doing was having a tangible impact on her company and those that it reached. - Roslynn Fitch, Texas A&M University

It has truly been such an honor to have interned with Uptown Liz! I have learned so much that has helped me later in my classes and also with other internships and work experience. I also talked about my internship in almost every interview I went on for a job after graduation! I really enjoyed being able to have such a personal role with the business and give my input. I absoultey loved being on the lookout for new products, trends, events, or promotions that believed in the same cause as Uptown Liz: giving back to charity and building a better tomorrow. By interning with Uptown Liz, I have been able to truly put my education to the test and learn what it means to run a business and become a successful businesswoman.
